The Roman Candle Pizzeria held pizza parties on May 10th and 11th at their Middleton location hosted by the Madison Area Vegetarian Meetup Group. Over 90 vegans, vegetarians, and a few curious newcomers attended the events. They vegged out on a variety of pizzas, many topped with Daiya cheese, a vegan substitute similar to dairy-based cheese, as well as soups, salads and drinks. Feedback from party attendees proved the events to be a huge success.

Some Comments from the Event:
The food was good (LOVED the soup and salad!), the atmosphere was cozy with enough room for all of us, the service was great and fast, parking was convenient, everyone was really jovial, and we met several cool people. This was a lot of fun! – Bonnie and Dale
Good pizza! I especially liked the vegan destroyer — very delicious toppings. The animal lovers pizza was less loaded with toppings, but it, too, was delicious, and it had a nice sauce. I liked the appetizers, especially the bruschetta. The wait staff took good care of us. – Tammy, Charter member
I really like the family style format with big tables and communal dishes. What a nice way to share your thoughts on the meal with friends and new acquaintances. Perfect for a special occasion like our meetups. As for the food, I am a big fan of Roman Candle’s salads. – Brian Turany
